Le leader du camp Elie Joseph Jean-Louis brandit une photo du corps de Merius Civil après avoir été roué de coups par la police lors d'une manifestation dans le quartier de Delmas à Port-au-Prince, Haïti. Civil avait été arrêté, début 15 Avril, par la police qui avait pris d'assaut le camp car les résidents protestaient contre un raid de motocycliste qui a mis le feu à leurs maisons. Selon des témoins, la bande de motards est venu au camp Acra heures après que l'avocat Reynold Georges, arrivé avec un juge et un agent de police pour dire aux quelque 30.000 personnes qui avaient perdu leur maison dans le séisme de 2010, qu'ils devaient quitter ses terres.
